HEAR all the music I’ve discovered or had recommended to me over the years. My musical journey began with rock, more precisely the Queen, Michael Jackson and Bruce Springsteen, thanks to my uncles who introduced me to them. Then, at the age of 13, I traveled to England for a summer camp, and it was there that I discovered hip hop, a genre that has stayed with me ever since. As I grew older, my musical tastes expanded, encompassing a wide array of genres and styles. I became captivated by rhythm and its absence, exploring everything from drone music and noise to punk, drum and bass, and techno. I have come to love music in all its forms, whether it be a specific genre or an individual artist. Music has the power to evoke a wide range of emotions and experiences, making it a deeply impactful medium in my life. It has been a constant companion, helping me stay focused, sparking my imagination, and allowing my mind to wander freely. Through music, I have been able to connect seemingly unrelated ideas, as lyrics often resonate with my personal experiences, drawing connections that might otherwise remain unnoticed. Music speaks to both my subconscious and conscious mind. On an emotional level, it stirs deep feelings, while on a conscious level, it provides logical understanding and insight. This dual impact of music is something. I find incredibly fascinating. It can inspire me to actively seek out new knowledge and experiences, broadening my horizons and deepening my appreciation for the world around me. Throughout my life, music has been a powerful tool for self-discovery and growth. It has helped me navigate various phases and challenges, offering comfort and inspiration when needed most. Each genre and artist has contributed to my personal soundtrack, shaping my identity and enriching, my understanding of the human experience. In summary, it continues to be a source of profound emotion, intellectual stimulation, and personal growth.
